Morning everyone it looks like we’re going to have another beautiful day here in Venice, hope you are too, back home. This is my first trip away this year and so far, all going to plan. I will post some photos later.

Before I left it was very hectic, but I wanted to share a couple of cards we made recently In the classes.

We used the sprinkles of life and build a birthday stamp sets again for our cards.  I can’t seem to stop using these stamp sets, they are so versatile from making cupcakes, baskets of flowers and candles. The list of cards one can produce from these two sets are endless.

The first of the cards is an easy easel card using so saffron, pink pirouette and baked brown sugar colour combination.there were two options: a cupcake or basket of flowers.

These cards went down really well with everyone in all the classes, but the basket of flowers was the favourite one.

There were quite a few elements to making the cards and it took quite a while to complete. punching out all the flowers for the basket one kept them all quiet for a few minutes!

As the easel card was time consuming to complete, I made the second card a quicker one. One of the stamps from the work of art set was stamped five times in alternating colours of so saffron and pink pirouette to create a background. The cake was stamped up in layers using memento black and a few punched flowers added for decoration.

The word ‘HAPPY’ was written with a white gel pen on the banner on top
of the cake and birthday wishes stamped at the bottom right of the
card.this was another favourite and lots of ideas were discussed about
how simple  it would be to create other similar cards in various colours
for different occasions  like weddings and anniversaries.
