Hi from Copenhagen. After a tiring day exploring this great city by rail, bus and boat, I just couldn’t relax  and go on my cruise without publishing my blog from 2 weeks ago. The card below was made in 4 separate classes over a 5 day period. The first was at Running with Scissors and as usual, we had a great morning of fun, quality discussion (well from some anyway!), light humour and not to forget the crafting. Tracey was an excellent host and I can’t thank her enough x. The next 2 classes were done from home and the 4th at a local regular private class. In some cases, not everyone managed to complete it all in the 2hrs, but the design facilitated easy completion at home.
The card was created by using just one 12 x 12 sheet of cherry cobbler card which was cut into three pieces, 4″ x 12″. Each piece was scored from the left side at 2.5″ intervals, leaving a narrower fold to the right. The third piece was trimmed at 10″. On the other two pieces on the narrower folded edge, punch the edges with the scalloped topper tag punch.. Three pieces were concertinered and stuck together to form one piece.

‘BIRTHDAY’ was stamped used the retired ‘Letter it’ set in cherry
cobbler separately and punched out using the artisan label punch. Each of the white panel edges and the white punched out artisan labels were all sponged with pink pirouette.
The white panels were matted onto the pink ones and placed along the 10 sides.
The petite petals were stamped in Cherry
Cobbler, pink pirouette, summer startfruit and gumball green and punched
out and arranged across the card
The past panel is left blank for you to write a message

View of the card when closed and tied with summer starfruit stitched satin ribbon.
 The
sentiment is from ‘Bring on the Cake’ and punched out with the
decorative label punch. It was backed with another two decorative labels
punched out in pink pirouette. Cut one lengthways and cut one cut widthways and glue to the back of the stamped white one to create a pink border.

Well must get a good  nights sleep ready for the cruise tomorrow, which is setting sail around iceland and norwegian fjords over the next two weeks

Linda
