Here are the two cards we made on Friday afternoon.
We used the reversed masking technique for the first card. We cut out one of the labels framelits from a separate piece of paper and used this as the mask.
The mask was placed over the paper which needed to be stamped on and post it notes placed around the edge to hold it in place.
A combination of Daffodil delight, more mustard and cherry cobbler were sponged over the mask to create the background. I then stamped the image with the mask still in place with the flowers from serene silhouettes in Chery Cobbler.
The mask was then removed. Some cherry cobbler bakers twine was wrapped around the top edge with a bow and rounded the top two corners.
The bottom edge was punched with the Scallop trim border. Sentiment was from petite pairs.
For the second card we used the White embossing powder and aqua painter technique for the flowers.
One of the flowers from the secret garden stamps were used. These were stamped onto a separate piece of white card and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The flowers were spritzed with some water and the aqua painter was used to paint the flowers with some rose red re-inker. The flowers were left to dry and then cut out with the secret garden framelits
The pink card was embossed with the Manhatten Flower embossing folder as a background.
Using a piece of whisper white card, two opposite corners were punched with the scallop trim corner and layered onto a piece of Rose red card. Two stems were stamped in Gumball Green and a piece of matching stitched satin ribbon wrapped around. Happy Birthday sentiment is from teeny tiny wishes. Once dry the flowers were glued in place on the stems and two flowers from itty bitty shapes placed on top with a rhinestone.
