Just when we thought summer was here, the heavens open. I suppose it means we don’t need to water the flowers/hanging baskets. On the theme of flowers, I have a few cards to share with you that were made in recent classes. The cards were made a few weeks ago before some of the products were put on the retired list. One of the stamps is the peaceful petal set but there are lots of new lovely products in the new annual catalogue which will drive your inspiration wild!
The first card uses a very simple, but effective design with the scalloped topper tag punch, finished off with a small piece of colour co-ordinated ribbon. …. The background was stamped with one of the stamps from the gorgeous grunge set. The flower head was painted with the aquapainter in crisp cantaloupe and decoupaged onto the stem
The second one uses basic square shapes on a contrasting background, finished off with some butterflies and three flowers in vellum stamped in versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. This type of design can be used with many different stamps/punches for all occasions
The third one depicts what I was hoping for today, a summer’s day theme with butterflies hovering over long meadow grass. These simple butterflies look amazing on most designs.
The grass and sentiment is from the Wetlands set with a colour combination of melon mambo and wild wasabi
I am looking forward to the weekend, although it will be a very busy one. I am at a Craft Fair at one of the local schools on Saturday afternoon and its my annual catalogue launch party on Sunday which I am running two sessions.
I will be back after the weekend with photos of the events.
All three designs are gorgeous Linda, love the vellum flowers and the colour combination on the third is so different for you but stunning, thankyou for a lovely day today, thoroughly enjoyed myself xxx
