Hi there,  I hope you all had a lovely weekend and looking forward to some beautiful sunshine over the next few days. I know I am, getting ready for my holiday next month. After all the tragedy on the news over the weekend, with the events in Tunisia, Kuwait and France, I will be pleased when Paul is home. You just can’t believe there are people out there who can do such a thing and you never know what’s around the corner. I’m just pleased I can do crafting from the comfort of my 4 walls.

Last week was a very hectic week, with my 3 usual card classes, a workshop party and I’ve been busily crafting away in the craft room making cards with some of the fantastic new products from the catalogue. I will be sharing them with you over the coming few weeks.

Today I am showing the class cards from this week and finally I will be up to date and caught up. We made two slider cards in different variations, one suitable for a male and one for a female. When the tags are pulled the car/tree slide to reveal the sentiment

When first planning the male variation of the slider card I had only the retired stamp set called ‘Rev up the Fun’ in my collection and so I used the sports car for the main image.  There is a new stamp set in the catalogue called  Guy Greetings which contains 22 male themed images and sentiments. This  was on my wish list for the last few weeks  but with the launch of the new catalogue, other items such as in-colour card, inks etc took a priority.

To my surprise last weekend, I received this stamp set in the post as a gift from my lovely upline Zoe.  I was delighted with my present and would like to thank her very much.  I then went back into the craftroom and created another card with the vintage car from the set, so my ladies in the class had an alternative car to choose from.

The new Brick Embossing folder makes an excellent background for these types of cards

The female version of the slider card uses the lovely RMHC Stamp set ‘Sprinkles of Life’  in a colour combination of:

 Pool Party,
Mint Macaron,
Pink Pirouette
Baked Brown Sugar

The front of the card was randomly stamped with the little flower and sprinkles stamps from the set creating a co-ordinating patterned background paper

This set is so versatile and its great there is a co-ordinating punch to make the cutting out much easier!
I will be back soon sharing some more crafty makes …
