Hopefully by the time you read this, I will have had a few days to relax and spend some quality time with my husband…. as many of you know, he has been working abroad over the past few months and has hardly spent any time at home with the family
The card I am sharing today is one we made at my regular weekly Friday class, at The Edge, Keelby.
This is a smaller version of the previous concertinered card I blogged a few days ago. Instead of three strips of 4″ x 12 ” to make a concertina card, I created a gatefold card using just one of the strips and scored it at 2″,4″,8″ and 10″. Although the card is smaller by design,it is equally as effective. Each end was punched with the scalloped topper tag punch
There were three panels of whisper white sponged with pink pirouette and matted onto three panels of pink pirouette
Less flowers were needed for the decoration and the sentiment was changed to fit in the larger centre square
The green flowers were separated and cut into ones and twos to create the leaves.
I had a bit of a blonde moment on Friday and forgot to take the decorative label punch for the front. Instead I cut a strip of whisper white and made a coordinating label from the scalloped topper tag punch and sponged around the edge with pink. In fact, we all agreed we liked the look of this much better than the original as it co-ordinated with the rest of the card. There are never any mistakes in crafting, just happy accidents!
The summer starfruit ribbon was held in place under one side of the label with 3D foam pads and wrapped around the back and tied at the side
