The next big calendar event for the year (4 day bank holiday weekend) is Easter, so for the past two weeks we have been making Easter Cards. A lot of people do not seem to send Easter Cards these days but a few of my ladies specifically asked to make some this year.

We made a couple of traditional cards in the first week and a couple of cute ones the second week.

Here are the traditional Easter Cards we made

Part of my collection of stamps is the Trefoil Cross which retired a couple of years ago. It is a lovely decorative cross which I keep coming back to for making these types of cards

I designed the card so it could be easily adapted for a sympathy or thinking of you card, which a couple of ladies did make in the session

We used one of the single flower stamps in the Birthday Blooms set for the next card and I showed the group how to mask off the flower in the centre before stamping a second and third image to create a bunch. The flowers and petals were coloured in using a blender pen with pool party and pear pizazz inks.

The background was embossed with one of the new confetti textured embossing folders.

Have a great week
