The project for our Saturday afternoon and Monday morning class was this double sided card keeper box with three cards. I first saw the idea on the internet to make the smaller box. I adapted the measurements to make the larger box so it could hold square cards as well.

In theory, it was a great idea to make two different sized card boxes and three cards in a three hour session, but in practice we encountered a couple of problems especially on Saturday, not to mention scoring the wrong measurement (woops!!) and running out of time. However, we all had a few laughs along the way but with team work we all crafted on until the end. Mondays class went really well as we had ironed out the problems from Saturday.

The kit consisted of half a pack of Comfort Cafe designer series paper, soft suede, pool party, summer starfruit and very vanilla card stock and some soft suede taffeta ribbon.

Everyone had a choice of which papers to choose to decorate their boxes and use the co-ordinating coloured card for the flowers etc. I used Soft suede, Pool Party and Summer Starfruit for this box

One side of the box is for square cards and the other side is for A6 and tall slim cards.
Once the boxes were completed, Soft suede taffeta ribbon was wrapped around each box and then the two boxes were stuck together.

Boho blossoms and the bird builder punch were used to decorate the sides of the boxes with flowers and leaves.

Here is another version of the box decorated with different patterned paper using summer starfruit, cherry cobbler and soft suede colours.

The three cards we made to go into the box using cherry cobbler,
soft suede, pool party, very vanilla and summer starfruit coloured card
with various comfort cafe designer series papers from the kit.

An assortment of punches were used to create the cards, along with honeycomb embossing folder.
