With Christmas just around the corner I held a couple of workshops where we created 9 fabulous Clean & Simple alternative ideas Paper Pumpkin Christmas cards using the retired Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin kit. The techniques I have used to create the Clean & Simple alternative ideas for Paper Pumpkin Christmas cards can be adapted to other current available kits or by using your favourite Designer series papers and stamps
The kit includes everything to make 8 clean and simple christmas cards with foil card bases, printed envelopes, Joy to the World Stamp set, embossed die cuts, printed die cuts, Just jade ink spot, brass foil die cuts, labels, linen thread, dimensionals and adhesive dots.
These are the original two cards designs which you can create in the Joy to the World kit.
After completing the 2 original cards in the kit, I made some alternative designs by cutting up 2 of the foiled cards and printed envelopes. I stamped a couple of ‘one sheet wonders’ with the flower stamp in cherry cobbler ink on whisper white and crumb cake cardstock and used some extra cherry cobbler cardstock for the card bases and matte and layering. I created a further 7 cards but there are lots left over to make so much more.
Clean & Simple Alternative Paper Pumpkin Christmas Cards

Once you have all your pieces and stamped images/sentiments you can very easily put the cards together as shown in the photos.
Cutting Instructions for Envelopes
Cut the 2 sides off each envelope up to the red pattern and open out. Cut off the envelope flap and trim white edges to create a rectangle shape.
Envelope 1 – cut main script panel of envelope down the middle at 7cm
Envelope 2 – cut 2 x 3cms strips from right hand edge of main envelope panel. Split remaining left hand panel into 3 sections at 5.5cm, 3cm and 3 cm ( as shown in photo above)
Cutting instructions for Card Bases
2 x 4cm x 10.5cm
2 x 2cm x 10.5cm
2 x 1.5cm x 10cm
One Sheet Wonder Panels
One sheet wonder panels created by stamping the flower stamp in cherry cobbler ink all over a sheet of whisper white 10.5cm x 7.5cm and crumb cake card 10.5cm x 6.5cm. Use a blender pen or water brush to blend in the coloured ink on the flowers
Stamp a couple of the flowers stamps in Black ink and colour in with the water pen or blender pen with Cherry Cobbler ink and fussy cut out to use as extras embellishments
We made 9 cards during the workshop but there were lots more items left in the kit to make many additional cards
