Something to Lighten up

Last Saturday’s class at ‘Running with Scissors’ and my monthly Monday class were another great success. Thank you again Tracey for being a perfect host .
The card we made was a four-fold concertina card, which when used with the supplied battery tea-light candle, had that lovely glow
to really show-off the intimacy of your work and there is no risk of fire!

The card features 2 windows created with the Deco label framelits and vellum placed behind. They were stamped
and embossed with the decorative dots folder to give it that special textured look and allows the light
to come through, when the tea-light is in operation.

These houses remind me of those we saw in France back in April and hopefully I
will get change to see them again (this time decorated for Christmas) when Paul heads back there later this month and I tag along (a great opportunity to craft in different surroundings, whilst Paul
works……hoho!).

We
used the White Christmas and Holiday Homes Stamp sets to create the
Christmas scene from the Autumn/Winter catalogue and are a great buy at
only £13.95 each

These are fabulous stamps and can be used in a variety of combinations to depict a story line..
In this card I used a snowy scene in Soft Sky colours using one of the papers from the All is Calm designer series paper,
with a journey to fetch a Christmas tree. We used blendabilities for the colouring in.

The
animals from the White Christmas stamp set always add a wonderful touch to any
winter scene. Hopefully it’s not the wild tiger they have spotted in
France
near Paris…Scary.

I have added an additional card class this Monday, 17th November at my home from 10am and we will be making a Card-in-a box with a village theme, which will make a fantastic card for that special person and it even folds flat to place in an envelope!
I will also be at the Craft Cabin in Brigg this Thursday 20th November from 10.30am teaching a large 8 x 8 Christmas card using Festival of Trees.
Why not come and join us for a festive crafting session and social catch-up. Please contact me if you would like to attend any of the classes, as places are limited
xx
Thankyou for a wonderful class, I enjoyed every minute and actually finished lol xxx
