I showed the ladies a couple of new techniques when we made the following two cards.

For the first card, a strip of masking tape was placed over the middle of the top layer of white card.  We used the Bloomin’ Love stamp set and randomly stamped over the card in black memento ink. with the masking tape still in place, and using either a blender pen or aqua pen, coloured in the flowers with daffodil delight. The masking tape was then removed to leave the plain strip in the centre which gives the impression the flowers are behind the white strip!

Two lines of holes were pierced across the plain strip and a white stitched satin bow placed in the middle

The card was finished off with a sentiment, a couple of butterflies and a little brush of  wink of stella clear glitter pen on the flowers.

We used watercoloured card for the second technique using the Number of Years stamp set

The flourish was stamped with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder onto the watercoloured card. The card was then spritzed with water so it was a little damp and then colour washed over the top with an aqua pen and strawberry slush coloured ink.

This
piece of card was then dried a little with the heat embossing tool and
the rest of the flowers and leaves were stamped over the top.

There were two versions of the card available to choose from, one with numbers and one with A flower from petal petals stamp set in the centre
