Another birthday celebration
Doesn't time fly,it was our eldest daughter Louise's 24th birthday the day we set off for a last minute holiday to Turkey. Louise was also a way on a course for her new job, so we decided to celebrate the day before. The family all went out to a local Indian restaurant for a meal and then went back to her house for a slice of birthday cake, that as usual, Leanne made. it was my Mum and Dads first visit to an Indian restaurant, so they played safe with a mushroom omelette, but even...

Festive Flurry verses Endless Wishes
I am sharing two cards today from our classes this week. Both have been made as a diamond fold but using two separate stamp sets Festive Flurry and Endless Wishes to create different looks. One of my ladies bought the Festive Flurry and matching framelits before it retired and wanted some inspiration on how to use them and this is what I came up with. As the Festive Flurry set has now retired I created a similar card with one of the new sets out of the Autumn/Winter catalogue, Endless Wishes....
Wondrous Wreath window card and White Christmas
It has been another busy week for me, as well as running my regular weekly card classes, I have been teaching my monthly classes as well. Here are the cards we have been creating: One of the first stamp sets on my wish list from the new Holiday Catalogue was the Wondrous Wreath. It is a beautiful, multi-layer wreath in photopolymer which is absolutely clear. It also has a matching set of framelits, so stamping and cutting have never been so easy! The wreath was first stamped with gumball...
Endless wishes and Festival of trees
I realise we are only in the 2nd week of September, but many of my crafting ladies are eager to start getting their christmas cards made. To ease them into the festive season gently, I decided to make one christmas card and one general birthday card last week. The feedback on the design was very positive. The simple, but effect design, makes it quick to create and ideal for bulk production and gives a flying start to building their stack of christmas cards. This card features the...
Kinda eclectic
Hi everyone, I'm just catching up with some of my posts on cards made a few weeks ago at my Keelby class. Hopefully it will inspire that Indian Summer this week, they keep promising. The theme of the first card is very much sunshine and butterflies, using the fabulous new Kinda Eclectic stamp set. This stamp set was one I placed on my wish list as soon as I saw it, when the new annual catalogue was released in July. The set includes 6 stamps, with a very useful sentiment 'A little...
21st birthday
Today I am sharing the card I made for my daughter's 21st Birthday last week. It is a slight variation on the 18th card in my previous blog, with the centre oval off-set to capture more of the background colour. A couple of extra sentiments were added to give a more personal touch. Again the silver glimmer card is used to bring the flowers to life, with the added detail of a bow in contrasting ribbon. Colours used are whisper white, coastal cabana and so saffron. The lady stamp (from the...
