Christmas Novelty Curvy keepsake boxes

The demand for these christmas novelty curvy keepsake boxes has been phenominal, ranging from orders of 100+ for a charity event, to a small handful to replace the usual christmas crackers for the dining table. Over the past couple of months my daughter Leanne and I have been very busy making lots of boxes using the curvy keepsake box. We started with the Snowman, Santa, Elf and Penguin. Gardening box frame commision

Gardening box frame commision

Another Special order……. Remember the Christmas and Baby box frames a few weeks ago? Well I was approached recently by a very special friend to make a retirement gift for their gardener, in the same sort of design. The frame needed to feature the typical tools a gardener would use and include that personal touch of thanks. Below was the finished article…… I used some of my Stampin' Up stamps to create the picture but the wheelbarrow, watering can and wellington boots were from my other stamp...

Endless wishes and white christmas slider card

Endless wishes and white christmas slider card

Hi from France, I never thought I would be making my Christmas cards this year in the peaceful surroundings of the french countryside in one of the main wine regions of Alsace. Well I am and have converted Paul's hotel room into a craftroom for that purpose. I also have the added advantage of the hotel being a SPA, to provide a well deserved break. The main reason for coming here, was not the wine (although I have sampled a  few) but the fabulous Christmas markets I had read about and of...

Holiday Home Village scene card in a box

Holiday Home Village scene card in a box

Remember the flower card in a box  I made for a 50th birthday back in March, well, the same design is back, but this time with a Christmas village theme. This is a great card, that looks very impressive and expensive, yet still fits in an envelope flat for posting. We all had fun making this card in the classes this week. . The foreground is made up of a silhouette of trees and houses with a backdrop of santa, sleigh and reindeers. We have used the festival of trees and holiday home...

Gift wrapping, boxes and curvy keepsake die

Gift wrapping, boxes and curvy keepsake die

I received a phone call out of the blue last week following a 50th Birthday party we attended. A lady had made enquiries from the birthday girl (well almost) about who gave the best wrapped/decorated present and she said me.  The task was to wrap Christmas Presents, in a manner that was better than ordinary, but I only had 3 days. To help me in the challenge, I asked Leanne and I’m pleased I did!!!!!!.  When we arrived at the house, we were met with boxes and boxes of gifts in every...

White Christmas holiday home scene tealight card

Something to Lighten up your own home or a friend's at Christmas! Last Saturday’s class at ‘Running with Scissors’ and my monthly Monday class were another great success. Thank you again Tracey for being a perfect host .   The card we made was a four-fold concertina card, which when used with the supplied battery tea-light candle, had that lovely glow to really show-off the intimacy of your work and there is no risk of fire!  The card features 2 windows created with the Deco...

graduation

It was a proud moment last week, when our youngest daughter Leanne graduated with a degree in Criminology.  This is the second Graduation this year and that means both our daughters have surpassed our educational expectations and are starting to venture out into the world of being young professionals. Louise started her first full time teaching job in September and Leanne has just been offered a Support Officer role working for NHS plus. Both occupations that they aspired to... Well done...

Christmas curvy keepsake boxes

Christmas curvy keepsake boxes

Remember the cute little snowman and father christmas I gave as a little thank you present for my ladies who attended the Christmas Stamp-a-stack classes a couple of weeks ago?  I have received lots of wonderful comments  on how they can be made or purchased. They are made using the neat curvy keepsake box die from Stampin Up at a price of £29.95 .  My daughter took great interest in the boxes and designed a fantastic elf. Over the last few weeks we have been busy making lots of...
