I am being totally spoilt today.  It’s my birthday and have already received lots of beautiful handmade cards and presents from friends and family.

My crafting friends from our Tuesday afternoon group had a collection and presented me with these gorgeous gifts.

Thank you Tracey, Anita, Margaret, Beryl and Carol,  it is very much appreciated.

I also received a gorgeous flower bouquet from my darling husband, a girl can’t have too many flowers to brighten up the home.

I  share my birthday with  Margaret .  This is the card I made for her.  I used a combination of crumb cake, pink pirouete and whisper white colours along with some Tea for Two designer series paper and crumb cake seam binding.

The large flower was created by punching out 6 scallop circles in different colours,  spritzing them with water and scrunching them up until almost dry. They were opened out and attached together with a brad in the middle.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the new fabulous set Bring on the cake and I randomly stamped the background with some flowers and swirls.  I used the delicate design embossing folder for the bottom of the whisper white card.

It was my Dad’s Birthday yesterday as well so we are having a full weekend of birthday celebrations and family gatherings.  We had a meal out with close family last evening, having another meal out tonight for my birthday and have arranged a  party for my Dad tomorrow afternoon.
I will be back tomorrow to show you the card I made for him
