Here is the Eclipse card I promised to show you in my previous blog post, which I created for my daughter’s birthday a couple of days ago. I used a colour combination of Bermuda Bay and Pool Party inks for the flowers, Early Espresso for the centres and Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves.
A large 8″x8″ card base was used so that I could fit all 6 letters in comfortably.
To add a third dimension to the card, I stamped and fussy cut out an extra flower and decoupaged it onto the card.
I created the label using the new everyday label punch from the autumn/winter catalogue and punched two pieces, one in wild wasabi and another in whisper white cardstock. The sentiment was stamped in Bermuda Bay on to the whisper white. The wild wasabi punched piece was cut in half and matte and layered behind the whisper white piece.
I love making these cards as they are so easy and fun to create. I am sure I will be repeating it again, perhaps with a Christmas theme!
oooooooo thats cool, what a great idea with the name – so effective, will have to try and remember this for future reference xxx
