The weekly card class recommenced last Monday after  little break due to my holiday with the following two square cards. We used one of the new in-colours Mint Macaron for both cards. This shade has become a favourite of mine out of the 2015/16 in-colours

The Watercolour wings set was inked up again with a colour combination of baked brown sugar along with the mint macaron to create this beautiful butterfly.  When I first designed the card the whisper white was blank apart from the sentiment, and was not totally happy with the card. I left it on my desk overnight and when I returned the following day, decided to emboss part of it with the boho chic embossing folder and felt it totally transformed the card and loved the end result. Hope you do too!

Can you spot the thin strip of envelope paper across the middle which co-ordinates very well with the ink and card and is layered onto a piece of mint macaron dotted lace trim?

The second card highlights two new stamp sets Wild about Flowers and one of the new Hostess Exclusive sets Happy Birthday Everyone.

Wild About Flowers uses a two step stamping technique to create the flowers and stems separately. Colours used are mint macaron and blackberry bliss. Some flower heads used the second generation stamping technique to get a lighter image

Happy Birthday, Everyone contains many
sentiments but I particularly love the beautiful large Happy Birthday
font which was stamped in Blackberry Bliss onto a background of
‘Hardwood’ inked in sahara sand.
