For our Tuesday crafty get together last week we created a plaque from the Creative Expressions Project Book. It was supposed to have be an artist theme but as we didn’t have some of the materials required we changed it what we had available
It was an ideal opportunity to play with my Dress Up Framelits again. We all had a great time designing the dresses, creating the plaque and sharing materials and equipment. Margaret gave us all a section of an old tape measure which was cut up and the edges were inked in crumb cake to make it look worn. The beautiful chandelier was a stamp from Anita and the papers used were from Tracey.
A circle of mirror card was put in the centre of a soda pop top to make it look like a mirror.
A piece of Early Expresso card was hand cut into the shape of a cotton bobbin and some lace was wrapped around. The buttons are neutral designer buttons. I found some pins and gold scissors in my stash to complete the picture
I thoroughly enjoyed doing this project and it inspired me to made a similar one as a birthday card.
I didn’t have an old tape measure so I found one on the internet and printed it out and inked it with crumb cake
The background paper was from Attic Boutique designer series paper (retired) and the dresses were from Elegant Soiree (retired)
I found a little plastic cotton bobbin and cut it in half and wrapped some bakers twine around and again stuck a couple of pins in the back.
i hope you like what I have created with the framelits and I am sure I will be using more of them again
Your card looks great. very clever.. love your plaque, how do we keep coming up with great ideas every week. ah.ah. xxx
