I can’t believe January has already been and gone, where does the time go……
I have been so busy with preparations for the Sale-a-bration and the new seasonal catalogue that I haven’t shown the cards yet from last months card class. With being so close to valentines day, I chose the theme of ‘LOVE’ and we made two fancy fold cards. These were ideally suited to anniversaries, weddings, and of course, valentines. One of my ladies changed the sentiment and created a birthday card instead…. which looked lovely and even added a few flowers..great idea Diane…

CARD 1
There were two colour options for the first card, either ‘black and red’ for valentines or ‘crumb cake and whisper white’ for an anniversary card.

The cards involved cutting, folding, stamping and embossing, however we all managed to complete them, although the class did run over by 30 minutes… We were all having fun…
On the card design above, when the tag is pulled, the heart pops up to reveal a sentiment beneath. We used a mixture of stamps, framelits and punches: ‘New’ Language of Love, Love & Laughter, Hearts a flutter and teeny tiny sentiments
Here is the black and red valentine version
CARD 2
The 2nd card lays flat with four small easel cards sitting on top, giving a unique 3D appearance….
We used a colour combination of pool party, smoky slate and whisper white cardstock and inks, coordinated with winter frost designer series paper stack. The Language of love stamp set was used again from the new Spring/Summer catalogue. This is a very reasonably priced set at only £14.95 in wood and £11.95 in clear.
It is one of my favourites at the moment, since it is so versatile and can be adapted for many occasions.
