Hi, I’m back again blogging. I have had a well deserved break and taken a trip to Gambia for a week with my husband. It was a country we hadn’t thought of visiting before but when the offer came up on the internet we decided to give it a go.  Although it is a very poor country, the people are all happy and friendly, and there are so many interesting and beautiful places to explore.  We will certainly be visiting it again in the future. I will post a couple of photos soon.

We arrived home in the early hours of Monday morning and as soon as I had got all the washing and ironing done I had to pack again for a trip to France yesterday!  My husband is working at the Cristal site in Thann, a town on the border of France and Switzerland every other week and as it is my birthday on Saturday I decided to go along and accompany him. We are staying in Thann until Saturday and then hiring a car and travelling into Switzerland for a few days to end the holiday.  This is another first as we have never ventured to this part of the globe either, so am looking forward to seeing the fantastic mountains and scenery.

While my husband is at work, to pass some of the time during the day, I have brought along some of my crafting stash in my suitcase so I don’t get crafting withdrawal symptoms!

Talking of crafting, I have lots to share with you as I didn’t get chance to post it before. I ran a class a couple of weeks ago making the following 2 cards

Both cards utilise Stamp sets from the new catalogue, Happy Watercolor and Petite Petals and the new scalloped top tag punch.

For the first card we used baked brown sugar, black and pool party colour combination. The background was stamped with one of the stamps from ‘gorgeous grunge’ set

The second  is an easel card made with the circle framelits and strawberry slush, coastal cabana and crisp cantaloupe colours
I also showcased these cards during recent events at the Stallingborough
Community Day and Lucarly’s craft fair. The circle easel card in particular,
drew a lot of attention, due to its simplistic design, but unique shape.

Don’t forget you can order any of the products from my Online Shop at any time of the day or night!

The sun is shining here in Thann so I am going to go for a little walk around. I will be back tomorrow.
