Good
evening, I hope you all enjoyed the long bank holiday weekend and managed
to have some time with friends/family or some time for yourself to Craft…
Unfortunately my husband had to travel back to work in Saudi Arabia on Saturday
for two weeks so I didn’t feel guilty spending most of it crafting. I gather
the temperature in Saudi Arabia is 40 degrees so just a little warmer than here. Paul’s
offered to take me, but the dress code in that heat, doesn’t appeal to me!!

I
have a couple of craft fairs coming up so the time has been put to good use,
creating and making lots of items ready for sale

I have just realised I hadn’t shared a couple of cards we made in the class a few
weeks ago which I had forgotten to upload onto my blog.
weeks ago which I had forgotten to upload onto my blog.
This
was a lovely card, which used the hardwood stamp in Crumb cake for the
background with a colour combination of wisteria wonder, pink pirouette and
raspberry ripple. The oval framelits were cut out with the big shot and
decorated with flowers and leaves stamped with petite petals. The card was
completed with a bow tied with the gorgeous blushing bride chevron ribbon. A favourite by the
ladies

For
the second card I wanted a card that would suit a teenager, party invitation as
well as a female adult and as we all can’t resist a beautiful cup cake I
selected the create a cupcake stamp set which I haven’t used for quite a while.
I had forgotten how much I love this stamp set and I am sure I will be using it
again very shortly. The colours I chose were blushing bride, crumb cake, baked
brown sugar and so saffron.

I
inked and punched three banners from the Sale-a-bration banner blast set to the
blushing bride stitched grosgrain ribbon and added some sparkle to the lovely
cupcake with some dazzling diamond glitter.

Just
a little reminder about a class I am doing at ‘Running with Scissors‘ shop in
Grimsby on Saturday 17th May from 10am – 12pm. I still have a few spaces left
if you would like to come and make a scalloped tag concertina card. £7
per class and includes all materials, tuition and a cup of tea!

The
last class was a sell-out and a great success. Why not come and join us or just
pop-in to say hi. Please contact me by email on lgilbert66@gmail.com for more details or to reserve a place
