Today I am sharing the card I made for my daughter’s 21st Birthday last week. It is a slight variation on the 18th card in my previous blog, with the centre oval off-set to capture more of the background colour. A couple of extra sentiments were added to give a more personal touch. Again the silver glimmer card is used to bring the flowers to life, with the added detail of a bow in contrasting ribbon. Colours used are whisper white, coastal cabana and so saffron.
The lady stamp (from the ‘in this together’ set) is excellent for any celebration event i.e. birthday, graduation or even a thank-you. I have used the coastal cabana and skin tone blendabilities to colour in the stamped image. The intricate detail of the embossing and cut outs from the die gives it an extra touch of luxury
To finish off, I thought I would share a couple of photographs from the celebration.
The first is the cake that my daughter made for her party. Believe it or not, we didn’t cut it on the day (too full from the barbecue and a few drinks) and we still have some left. It was a two tier marble cake covered with an assortment of chocolate sweets and chocolate fingers. I often think making cakes would be more beneficial than making cards, but not from a diet perspective…
Below is a photo of my daughter, Leanne. On the night time we went to the Wheatsheaf pub in Grimsby for a fabulous meal. If you haven’t been there recently it is well worth a visit. It has changed lots since the days when we used to go there at lunchtime from college.
Well that’s all the special birthday over for this year.
