I am back again as promised sharing the cards from last weeks class.
We have been making quite a few cards recently using stamps and ink and as I have had a few new members join our classes over the past few weeks I thought I would create a couple of cards using punches, embossing folders and only a little stamping
Here is the first of our makes, a sampler card using two different sized square punches, happy hearts and spring flowers embossing folders, itty bitty butterfly and flower punches, and apothecary accents framelits
You may have noticed over the last few blogs that I love the Butterfly Basics stamp set and have used it again for this card by colouring the flower stamp with pink pirouette, strawberry slush and pear pizzazz marker pens to create the flower image.
With Stamping ‘sending wishes your way’ makes it an excellent all occasion card. I swapped the hearts embossing folder with the polka dots for a different background effect on the following card
The second of our cards last week used just three types of punches and one embossing folder!
We embossed the Crisp Cantaloupe card with the stripes embossing folder before layering it on to the whisper white and pool party card. A 5cm strip of whisper white card was punched at one end with the scalloped topper tag punch and then punched again with the elegant butterfly punch to create an aperture in the tag. A strip of ribbon from the Best Year Accessory Pack added around the top. A few more butterflies were punched from Sale-a-bration Best Ever Designer series paper and itty bitty banner sentiments were stamped and cut out and layered on top.
We all found this to be a very easy and quick card to create
