Hello everyone I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I spent mine celebrating two birthdays and had a fabulous time.

We started the weekend early with a meal on Friday evening for the family at the 1815 Steak house in Laceby, to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. This was finished off with a slice of a gorgeous red velvet chocolate cake, made by my daughter Louise for her Grandad. Thank you Louise, yummy xxx
Below is the card I made for my Dad:-

The card features a simple easel format using retired designer series paper stack, the little letters thinlits and a few punched out stars.

On Saturday,  Paul treated me, himself, Louise and Leanne, with a Spa day at Thoresby Hall. We had a lovely relaxing day and enjoyed some luxurious treatments and sampled all the saunas, steam rooms and hydrotherapy pool

It was my birthday on Sunday and after a little lie in and opening my cards and presents we headed off to The Olive Garden restaurant in Cottingham, Hull, for the last meal of the weekend. I was treated to a 2 course lobster and steak meal, including champagne. The mistake I made was also having a jug of Piña Colada cocktail, which although very nice at the time, I regretted afterwards!

Whilst we were away, my daughter Leanne baked a lovely cake and cup cakes. Thank you Leanne, they tasted delicious xxx.

For those ladies who attended my Monday afternoon class this week, they had the opportunity to sample one of the cup cakes. I must apologise to the ladies in the Monday morning class, since we were all engrossed in the crafting and discussions (I’m blaming Paul really) I forgot to bring them out. Sorry….

I also received some lovely handmade cards for my birthday, from my fellow crafters, friends and family. They are all unique and very special. Thank you for the cards and best wishes, it’s another year on the clock.
Take care till next time
Linda xxxxxx
