Hi Everyone,
Last week in my classes we made this lovely shadow box frame card. The card was totally inspired by the design created by Amanda over at The Craft Spa where she has produced an extremely helpful tutorial.
The frame is made from 12″ x 12″ card which has been scored, cut and folded accordingly. The intricacy proved to be challenging for some of my ladies, but patience and perseverance won, creating a great result.
The frame was decorated with pool party card measuring 5.75″ x 5.75″. Sorry for being imperial, but it worked out that way. The centre was cut out with the large scalloped square framelits which was then run through the big shot with the fluttering textured embossing folder.
The waste from this was used for matting the main design inside the picture frame
Butterfly basics stamp set was used along with gorgeous grunge for the images and the flowers were coloured in using the blender pens.
We even made a stand for the back which folds flat, so it can be displayed like a picture. They also look great as a decoration for your wall and can be made in any design or colour, to match your decor. Great if you fancy something different and have some time to make.
The card for the stand measures 2″ x 9.5″, scored at 0.5″, 1.5″, 2.5″ and 6″.
Have fun
Linda x
