Well I’ve finally made it to the half century and what a whirlwind week, full of surprises!

It all started with Paul planning a few days away to Spain which I really appreciated, but only 4 days! I now understand why, since my daughters then had a surprise party waiting for us, when we arrived home on Saturday. How they kept it a surprise (and Paul was also in on it and never keeps secrets) working around me, I just dont know. Must have been too indulged in my craft!!!! The party was for Paul too, as his 50th birthday was
earlier in the year.
My daughters even used my craft address email list to create some of the invitations…

Louise and Leanne organised everything, there was an abundance of lovely food, photographs, banners and balloons that decorated the hall and the tables had lovely posies of fresh flowers on them.

The beautiful birthday cake and cupcakes were made by Leanne and assisted by Louise.

There was even a pick n mix sweetie table for everyone to fill a bag and take home.

The entertainment for the evening was provided by Rich T a local singer and even Louise took to the microphone and sung 4 songs during the night

My official birthday was Tuesday, I spent the day relaxing opening my presents and cards with Paul and Mum and Dad and then we went to Figs restaurant in Cleethorpes for a meal in the evening.
I received some amazing cards from
all my crafters and some non-crafters, bottles of champagne, flowers and jewellery. I even received a beautiful ‘paw-painted’ plate from Tibby and Millie (ours and our daughters cats) Apparently a couple of weeks ago they took the cats in the car to Cleethorpes to create the plates and were missing for almost 2 hours and I never realised Tibby had gone with them!!

I am a very lucky girl and would like to thank everyone who was involved in organizing the party and those that came to help me celebrate and make it a birthday to remember.
