Following the lovely weather we had last week, yesterdays rain has given me the opportunity to catch up with my blog. Below is a couple of cards made in my weekly classes using Stampin Up! products from the soon to be retired Spring mini catalogue Bloomin’ Love and Balloon celebration bundles

The photograph of the first card does not do it justice.

The detailed heart is die-cut from ‘Blushing Bride’ glimmer paper  using the Bloomin’ Heart framelits which really sparkles when it catches the light. You will see the ‘waste’ from this die-cut featured in my next blog, so one piece of card made 2 impressive cards!

The outer part of the card was made from an embossed piece of ‘blushing bride’ card stock using the softly falling embossing folder. This was mat and layered with  a panel of paper from the Love blossoms designer series pack and sahara sand cardstock and finished with contrasting sahara sand lace.

A very simple, yet effective design for any occasion.

The second card used some special ‘irresistably yours’ card from last years sale-a-bration promotion, which when sponged or stamped created the stars in the paper to resist the ink and pop out! This was finished by adding stamped and punched out balloons, confetti stars and a die cut sentiment. Again, this is another card that could be modified to suit any occasion.
