Since Autumn has arrived I thought it was time to follow an autumn theme, using the lovely words thinlit dies from the autumn/winter catalogue. I loved these when they were first released way back in June, so I just had to buy…. There are three dies in the set: Hugs, Friend and Lovely. As they have been sitting on my shelf since then I decided it was time to open the packet and make the following cards.
The colour combination is unusual for me to use: Lemon Lime twist and Powder Pink; but I think it goes together and is a cheerful and bright card.
The lovely words thinlit die was used to cut the heart in the lemon lime twist card and a heart die from the sweet & sassy framelits was cut out in the embossed white card and layered on top
The inside was sponged in Berry Burst and Powder pink
I created another card similar to the one above but used the waste heart piece from the white embossed panel instead. This was sponged again with powder pink and berry burst and placed inside the card on dimensional pads
I tried so hard to make Neils birthday card with an aperture similar to this, got in such a bloody pickle, there has to be an easy way to line up the layers, I need to start coming to classes !!!! xxx
